David Firman, photographer, writer and creator of WalkClickMake. I'm usually behind the camera which makes this photo fairly rare. Thanks to my wife, Gail Perry for taking it (we were on the Camino de Santiago) and, more importantly, editing the text for every post!

Last Saturday, 10 brave souls accompanied Gail and me on our 12km Jane’s Walk from Wolseley to the airport. We talked about combined sewers, historic houses, airport zoning, brutalist schools, ducks and decorated sheds, Brandt sounding missiles, airports lost, new airports, nature preserves…and just had a good long walk. Yes, 5 hours! Miracle of miracles, all 10 walked the entire route. And all 10 carried broad smiles and inquisitive minds from start to finish. @janeswalkwinnipeg
Looking for a good long walk on one of Winnipeg’s first spring-like days? This Saturday, join tour leaders Gail Perry and David Firman for a unique walk from our house to YWG, Winnipeg’s international airport. It’s our contribution to Jane’s Walk 2022.
