Styxx, our greyhound/lurcher companion passed away in May 2022. In celebration of the nine years that Gail and I had the privilege to share with Styxx (his first day with us was December 14, 2013), we have selected twelve photographs that we think capture his personality and interests..
Day Nine: Heroic Styxx, 2016, Spruce Woods Provincial Park, Manitoba.
Styxx facing the wind. Brings to mind lyrics from a song:
Did you ever know that you’re my hero…
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings 🎶
Hi Rob, I’m sure Styxx was moved by your lyrics.
Oh, I love that photo!! Indeed, Cathy!! We have seen a blue sky for a bit. Nice to see it, framing by the handsome boy!! Spruce Woods, and the sand hills, goodness!! How is the weather on the coast – as bad as the news makes out? Hope you are safe and cozy!!
Gloria
Thanks Gloria. Styxx climbed those sand dunes like a champ. Meanwhile weather here in Vancouver is challenging our holiday plans.
What a portrait of a beautiful spirit!
